The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Huge Update: Commissions, Skullgirls and New Game

It's been a while, guys. Sorry I haven't been frequent on DA lately but it's all for a good reason.

So I'm still in Oregon, there was a bit of a set back so I'm not in Burbank right now. At the time it's up in the air when I'll be going. Probably later in the year, who knows. I'm hoping sooner. Another problem is money, I'm out $1000 cause of my family's stupid choices, while they're gonna pay me back slowly but surely it's not soon enough, so it's still a huge factor.

That said, commissions are nearly completely finished say for one more. I've decided to extend my commission sale to the end of March. So if you want a $60 character drawing they're still open as I could use the money.

Also, I'm sure many people have heard Skullgirls is doing DLC for the character Squigly on their Indiegogo page [link] which means I'll have some means of work again. It's successful in funding Squigly and slowly crawling up to Big Band's goal and possibly a 3rd character. Here's hoping it's 100% successful.

And finally, the biggest news. I'm working closely with my friend

to make an indie game called "Project Sen" [link] and I'm the Lead Animator. Currently working on assets to make the first stage for the game and we're gonna be doing a Kickstarter for the Project by the end of March/start of April. If you can, please follow if you're interested and show as much support as you can cause we'd really love for this game to take off.

As you can see I'm extremely busy with a lot on my plate, as well as managing my time with projects and the like. I'll try to post more art in the coming days cause I do miss posting on DA and I'm very grateful to my followers. Thank you all :3
